Paramita is a performer, contemporary dancer and arts manager working out of Kolkata. One of the earliest women contemporary dancers in India Paramita has more than 20 years of contemporary dance training and representation across 18 countries. She is currently Co-Director of Sapphire Creations Dance Company, Kolkata. Adept at designing strategic encounters between businesses and artists to create opportunities of nurturing the creative industries and their contribution to the community, as Co-Founder and Co-Director of arts management outfit Artsforward, she works with the arts to impact people deeply and build moving messages for social change for the present generation. Paramita is deeply engaged in the field of environment, e-waste management, audience development for the arts, nurturing and supporting creativity and artistic ability in the youth, curating and designing creative art projects. She is an ArtThinkSouthAsia 2015-16 Fellow and a Global Fellow of International Society of Performing Arts 2018 and 2021.
